Gummyvale Privacy Policy

Effective date: 10 October 2026 (revision 5). Updated for version 1.5: local progress, no account sign-in or paid coin packs, and deletion support for legacy accounts.

Who operates the game

Gummyvale (formerly Jelly Jam, also listed as Jelly Jams in AdMob) is operated by Andre Nilsen, sole trader, in Australia. For privacy questions or requests, email andnil9305@gmail.com.

Information on your device

The game stores your unlocked levels, best score, stars, music and sound preferences (including separate volume levels), reduced-motion preference, optional reporting choice, difficulty choice, and your in-game rewards on your device: Jam Coins, booster inventory, login-streak dates, daily-quest progress, star-chest and badge status, lifetime play statistics (for example chains made and jars opened), how many rewarded advertisements you have watched today, which islands you have visited, your Jam Kitchen decorations, and the date the game last invited you to rate it. Jam Coins and boosters are virtual items with no cash value and cannot be transferred, refunded for money or used outside the game; Jam Coins can be earned in play; earlier versions also offered packs through Google Play (see Purchases). The game reads your device language to show its interface in English, Spanish, Portuguese, German or French; the language is not transmitted. Version 1.5 does not offer player accounts or cloud progress syncing. All saved game progress stays on your device. There is no public leaderboard or player chat. Clearing app storage or uninstalling removes local data, including unsynced progress, coins, boosters and unfinished rounds. There is no in-game cloud recovery in this version. Updating the app preserves its existing local save.

From version 1.1, an active round is saved locally, including its board, objectives, tools, timer, attempt number and a random round identifier. Timers pause while the game is in the background. The game also keeps local onboarding milestones and a hashed purchase-token marker to avoid granting the same coin purchase twice. These saved rounds and purchase markers are not uploaded as cloud saves.

The game does not request access to your contacts, camera, microphone, photos or precise GPS location. You do not need to give us your name or email address to play.

Legacy accounts and cloud progress

Some earlier versions offered optional Google sign-in and cloud progress recovery. Version 1.5 does not offer sign-in, create accounts or sync saved progress. It keeps existing progress on your device. Earlier account and cloud records are not automatically deleted by this update.

If you signed in previously, Google and Firebase Authentication processed your account identifier, email address, basic profile and authentication/security information. Gummyvale did not receive your Google password. Cloud Firestore stored unlocked levels/islands, stars, best score, kitchen decorations, selected styles and the last update time under your Firebase identifier. The progress database is located in Melbourne, Australia; Google authentication and other services may process data elsewhere. Coins, boosters, unfinished rounds and device preferences were not part of that progress record.

To delete a legacy account and cloud progress, use the account-deletion page below. Remove Ads restoration remains available separately through Google Play and does not require a Gummyvale account.

Account deletion

To request deletion of your Gummyvale account and cloud progress, visit the account-deletion page. The page lets you email andnil9305@gmail.com; send the request from the Google email linked to the game where possible. We verify account ownership before deleting data. Never send your password or sign-in codes. You do not need to reinstall the app to request deletion.

After verification, we disable the account and remove its Firebase Authentication record and cloud progress. We aim to complete verified requests within 30 days and confirm the outcome by email. Uninstalling or signing out alone does not delete the account or cloud save. You can clear local app storage separately; this permanently removes local coins, boosters and unfinished rounds. Account deletion does not cancel Google Play transactions or automatically refund purchases. We retain purchase/tax records where required by law and limited support correspondence as needed to resolve the request; Google advertising and optional analytics records follow their separate retention practices described below.

Advertising and consent

Gummyvale uses Google AdMob to display banner advertisements on menu and results screens and occasional full-screen interstitial advertisements between completed rounds. Banners are hidden during active gameplay. Interstitial advertisements appear at a break after a round, rather than while you are connecting gummies. Ad availability and frequency may vary.

Both banner and interstitial advertisements use Google's advertising services. These services may process your IP address, approximate location inferred from it, advertising and app identifiers, device or account identifiers where applicable, app/ad interactions, and diagnostics. These support ad delivery, measurement, security and fraud prevention. The game's optional gameplay-reporting switch does not disable the processing associated with advertisements. Ad data is encrypted in transit. See Google's Mobile Ads data disclosure and Google's Privacy Policy.

Rewarded advertisements (optional). Some screens offer a "watch an ad" button that grants Jam Coins, or a second chance after a lost round, in exchange for watching a short full-screen advertisement. These advertisements only play when you choose the button; the game never starts one on its own. They are limited to a small number per day and use the same Google advertising services described above. Whether you watch a rewarded advertisement is recorded on your device to apply the daily limit. If optional gameplay reporting is enabled, the game also reports ad offers, availability, display, dismissal, errors and earned rewards as described below.

Where applicable, Google's consent message offers advertising choices before eligible ads are requested. Advertising partners and purposes are described in that message. You can revisit available choices through Music & settings → Music, sound & privacy → Privacy. Available messages depend on your region and Google's configuration. Declining personalised advertising does not necessarily stop all advertising or all processing needed to deliver permitted ads and prevent fraud. You can also use Android's advertising-ID controls.

Optional gameplay analytics and crash reports

The setting “Share gameplay and crash reports” is off by default. If enabled, the game uses Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics to understand gameplay and diagnose problems. These services can use pseudonymous app/device identifiers; the reports are not guaranteed to be anonymous.

Optional reports include tutorial milestones, first chains, loops and specials; round starts, completions, failures, continues, abandonments and restores; dead-board rescues; kitchen unlocks and item placement; reward and booster actions; advertising offers and outcomes; purchase-fulfillment success or failure; and enabling optional reporting. Depending on the event, fields can include a random round identifier, level, score, campaign/daily mode, difficulty, objective, attempt, moves, active duration, remaining target or time, stars, applied round settings, app version, product/item identifier and coin amount. Purchase tokens, signed receipts, payment details and the saved board are not attached to these analytics events. SDK reports may include app and device characteristics, pseudonymous installation identifiers, usage information and crash diagnostics. The game does not deliberately attach your name or email to these reports. You can disable this reporting in settings. Turning it off stops future optional collection; it does not automatically delete reports already sent.

Game configuration

Firebase Remote Config fetches game settings such as target difficulty, daily-challenge availability, per-level balance adjustments and details of limited-time in-game events (an event's name, goal, reward and end date), including when optional reporting is off. Your progress towards an event is calculated and stored on your device only. Firebase installation identifiers and technical request information support this service. This is separate from uploading your saved progress. See Firebase privacy information.

Purchases

Gummyvale offers a one-time Remove Ads purchase through Google Play Billing, removing banner and interstitial advertisements; optional rewarded videos remain available. Version 1.5 does not offer paid Jam Coin packs. Coins can be earned through gameplay and optional rewarded advertisements. Earlier versions included coin-pack purchasing code; any historical purchase queries or refund requests can be directed to support.

Google Play handles Remove Ads payments and provides the app with the purchase status and a signed receipt. The app verifies the receipt against Google's public licensing key before removing ads and keeps it locally for the entitlement. You can restore Remove Ads with the same Google Play account. We receive purchase records through Play Console for support, refunds and tax purposes, but never receive your full payment-card details. Purchases are not required to play or finish a level. Google's payment terms and privacy information apply, and refunds follow the Google Play refund policy.

The game may occasionally invite you to rate it using the Google Play In-App Review feature after a good result. Google handles that flow; the app only stores the date it last asked so it does not ask again within a week.

Support correspondence

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include. We use this information to respond and resolve the request. Please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information.

Recipients, storage and retention

Google and its service providers process information for the services described above; advertising recipients and purposes are also disclosed in the consent interface. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect users and the service. Data may be processed outside Australia, including where Google operates.

Local game data stays until you clear it or uninstall the app. Service data follows the relevant service settings and retention practices. Crashlytics documents a 90-day retention period before deletion begins; Remote Config installation identifiers remain until deleted through the applicable service mechanism. We retain support correspondence only as needed to handle the matter and meet applicable obligations. No fixed deletion period is promised for all Google advertising or analytics data. Contact us about information we hold or control; we may need details sufficient to identify relevant records. We cannot promise to locate a particular player's pseudonymous reports without an identifying reference.

Your choices and requests

You can play with optional reporting disabled, change available ad-consent choices, manage Android advertising identifiers, and remove local app data. Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, or complain to a privacy regulator. Contact us at the email above to discuss a request. Withdrawing consent does not undo processing already carried out. Google also provides controls for information it handles under its own privacy policy.

Children

Gummyvale is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children under 13. If you believe such information has been provided, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action. This statement does not replace any additional age-related requirements that apply in your region.

Changes

We will update this policy when the game's data practices change and identify the effective date on the published page. Material changes may also be communicated in the app where appropriate.
